Our list of Top Things To Do In Margaret River

Xanadu Estate

Xanadu is one of the pioneering Margaret River wineries. Situated on the doorstep of the Margaret River township, the first impression of Xanadu begins with a 2km drive through their impressive vineyards. Nestled amongst vineyards and gardens deep within the Xanadu Estate, their cellar door and restaurant creates the perfect setting to enjoy delicious food and wine. Xanadu’s 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded the coveted Jimmy Watson Trophy… in wine circles, this is a winemaker equivalent of a Gold Logie, a World Cup or The Ashes.

Jarvis Estate

The Jarvis Estate vineyard is off the beaten track, located in the heart of the Margaret River wine region halfway between the townships of Margaret River and Cowaramup. At their gorgeous little cellar door you’ll be guided through a delicious wine tasting. Join us on a Margaret River Full Day Tour or Half Day Tour and you’ll be taken on an exclusive behind-the-scenes-tour where we you might plunge the fermenting grapes, taste wine straight from the barrel and pat the very friendly cellar door pooches. Definitely recommend!

Grove Distillery

The Grove Distillery & Brewery is Margaret River’s founding distillery.  With spirits, liqueurs, beers and wines all made on the premises, there is something here for everyone. Renowned for producing the finest quality spirits possible, these guys have been accumulating local, national and international awards. We thoroughly recommend the ‘Grove’ experience for the variety of things to taste and fabulous hosts who talk you through them – friendly, witty and dare we say … charming. More than just a tasting, it is an interactive show. Beware the crocodiles and drop bears on the way in 🙂

This is another one of our favourites that is off the beaten track. As you walk to the entrance you see the impressive lake which is nice to sit around just to enjoy the view or play a few games they have on hand. Their tasting room offers a delicious selection of liqueurs, wines and nougat. The nougats are soft and tasty and there is a large variety of flavours.  This is the best place to stop for a break and nougat.
